Saturday, June 10 We celebrate and give thanks for the recipient of the 2023 Cutting Edge of Mission award, Parents Circle-Families Forum, a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 600 families working towards reconciliation and peace.

 

Thursday, June 8 (World Oceans Day) We pray for the integrity of ocean ecosystems, and for an increasing reduction of plastics pollution, acidification and unsustainable ocean resource extraction.

Wednesday, June 7 We give thanks for the commissioners who participated in the 2023 General Assembly, along with the committee conveners, clerks and staff who provided support and guidance under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Monday, June 5 As the 2023 General Assembly of the PCC begins, we pray that God blesses the church with the gift of the Spirit and opens the hearts and minds of those participating in the Assembly.

Sunday, June 4 (Trinity Sunday/General Assembly Sunday) We pray for the commissioners, young adult representatives and national office staff as they gather for the 148th General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church in Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to learn, worship and discern Christ’s will for God’s church at work in the world.

Saturday, June 3 We pray for the people who gather and serve at Place of Hope Indigenous Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and we give thanks for their ministry.

Friday, June 2 We pray for the Rev. Mark McLennan, clerk for the Synod of Southwestern Ontario.

 

Thursday, June 1 We pray for summer ministry students. May they know the assurance of God’s sustaining presence in times of excitement and frustration, joy and pain, faith and doubt.

Wednesday, May 31 We give thanks for Canadian farmers participating in growing projects to support Presbyterian World Service & Development’s work with Canadian Foodgrains Bank to reduce hunger around the world.

Saturday, May 27 We pray for commissioners of the 2023 General Assembly as they prepare to consider, discuss and make decisions about the ministry of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
