Tuesday, September 5 We pray for presbyteries that are struggling to care for ministers and congregations as completely as they would like. May they be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

Monday, September 4 We pray for students returning to theological studies this fall. Increase knowledge, piety and love for God and God’s church in all of them.

Sunday, September 3 We pray that Atlantic Mission Society groups will be creative in their planning and consistent to God’s call as they begin a new program year.

Saturday, September 2 We pray for the Rev. Margaret Mullin and the people who gather at Place of Hope Indigenous Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg.

Friday, September 1 We pray for transformation in congregations that will lead God’s people to share love and healing in their communities through concrete acts of friendship and kindness.

Thursday, August 31 (International Day for People of African Descent) Recognizing the violent history of colonization faced by people of African descent, we seek the Spirit’s wisdom to end ongoing anti-Black racism.

Wednesday, August 30 We pray for the Rev. Mary Fontaine and Hummingbird Ministries, an Indigenous healing and reconciliation effort.

 

Tuesday, August 29 We pray for our university and college students who are preparing for studies away from home. Remember in particular first year students who are leaving home for the first time.

Monday, August 28 We pray for the candidates for ministry and for the guidance counsellors who will spend time engaged in dialogue about calling and discernment during the Guidance Conference.

Saturday, August 26 We pray for the Rev. Mary Fontaine as she meets with people in her role as Moderator of the General Assembly.
