Saturday, August 19 On World Humanitarian Day, we pray for PWS&D partners who dedicate their lives to helping those in need in the most difficult circumstances. We pray for wisdom, courage and resources for them to continue their good work.

Friday, August 18 We pray for the members of the Canadian Ecumenical Anti-Racism Network (Canadian Council of Churches), who are supporting church communities working for racial justice across Canada.

Thursday, August 17 We pray for Leading with Care committees as they ensure that the ministries and buildings of the church are safe places for all.

Wednesday, August 16 We give thanks for summer opportunities to relax, enjoy nature and have extended times with family and friends.

Tuesday, August 15 We pray for people facing persecution because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We give thanks for organizations around the world that advocate for the safety, dignity and well-being of LGBTQI+ people.

Monday, August 14 We pray for people who are unhoused. May governments, faith communities and our church work to end suffering for those who are without homes and support.

Saturday, August 12 We pray for Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry and the people it serves through prayer, counselling, food, clothing and a weekly worship Circle.

Friday, August 11 We pray for theological students discerning a call, may the Lord of the Harvest send forth labourers.

Thursday, August 10 We give thanks for the contributions of temporary migrant agricultural workers in Canada. We pray that decision makers will enact policies that better protect the rights of all migrant workers and members of their families and develop fair pathways to Canadian citizenship.

Wednesday, August 9 (International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples) We pray that the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is upheld in all places so that all Indigenous peoples around the world may thrive.
