Monday, April 7 (World Health Day) On World Health Day, we pray for PWS&D partners who walk alongside those living with tuberculosis, HIV, leprosy and malaria, providing support and hope as they strive toward a healthy future.

Thursday, April 3 We pray for God’s blessings on projects being carried out by each of the eight Indigenous ministries supported by the PCC. These include an outdoor memorial project at Mistawasis, a garden project at Winnipeg Inner City Missions and a documentary project at Hummingbird Ministries.

 

Sunday, March 30 (4th Sunday in Lent) Dear God, help us to order our lives in faithful obedience to you so that we may come to know our weaknesses and appreciate your grace at work in our lives.

Saturday, March 29 We pray for the Committee on Church Doctrine as it discerns how the church demonstrates the love of God in Christ to those who have chosen medical assistance in dying and to their families.

Thursday, March 27 We pray for Elders and volunteers who faithfully serve at the eight PCC Indigenous Ministries.

Wednesday, March 26 We pray for congregations and missions receiving grants this spring, that their programs and initiatives will share the love of Christ in their communities.

Monday, March 24 We give thanks for the gifts and time that members of the Assembly Council offer, especially over these next few days as they meet at Crieff Hills.

Saturday, March 22 (World Water Day) We pray that all people have access to clean safe drinking water, which is a common good, and for the protection of watersheds and the ecosystems they support.

Tuesday, March 18 We pray for scholars and teachers serving God’s gospel: “Let love be genuine, outdo one another in showing honour, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.”

Hope Cottage ministry has been serving dinners once a month to those in need for approximately forty years. For many reasons, the number of contributors has declined. We are hoping some new folks will join us as the need is going to be very challenging in the next weeks and months. It involves a very easy stew recipe once every two months (in between months, it’s either a donation of fruit or margarine). Please advise any of the current co-ordinators should you be able to help.
