Wednesday, June 21 We pray for refugees in times of unthinkable suffering, and we give thanks for Presbyterian World Service & Development partners providing relief to Afghan refugees in Pakistan, Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Tuesday, June 20 On World Refugee Day, we remember all who’ve had to flee their homes and seek refuge in unfamiliar places and with people who are strangers. We pray for God’s blessing on all those who welcome refugees with open arms of love.

Monday, June 19 (National Indigenous Peoples Day) We give thanks for Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers and all Indigenous people working for the rights and well-being of Indigenous peoples and communities.

Saturday, June 17 We pray for the people, ministries and mission of the Presbytery of West Toronto in Ontario.

Friday, June 16 We pray for Reserve Force Chaplains, who serve in the church as civilians and in the nation as chaplains.

Thursday, June 15 We pray for leaders of PCC camps as they plan for another summer filled with exciting programs and activities.

Wednesday, June 14 We pray for the people who gather and serve at the Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry in Saskatchewan, and we give thanks for their ministry.

Saturday, June 10 We celebrate and give thanks for the recipient of the 2023 Cutting Edge of Mission award, Parents Circle-Families Forum, a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 600 families working towards reconciliation and peace.

 

Thursday, June 8 (World Oceans Day) We pray for the integrity of ocean ecosystems, and for an increasing reduction of plastics pollution, acidification and unsustainable ocean resource extraction.

Wednesday, June 7 We give thanks for the commissioners who participated in the 2023 General Assembly, along with the committee conveners, clerks and staff who provided support and guidance under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
